Ernst “Ernie” Floyd Kasiska (1959-2023)

Ernst “Ernie” Floyd Kasiska, 63, passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at his home in Kanopolis, Kan. He was born Dec. 7, 1959 in Ellsworth, Kan., to Floyd and Anna (Kamphuis) Kasiska. Ernie was a longtime resident of Ellsworth County. He married Ronda Lloyd in Ellsworth on Oct. 17, 1981.

He retired from the Ellsworth County Road and Bridge Department.

Ernie is survived by his daughter Lynsey Schultz (Andy), Ellsworth; son Joshua Kasiska (Lindsay), Carmichael, Calif.; grandchildren Jazlynn and Owen Schultz; and loving dog Stormy. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ronda; brother Paul Kasiska; and sisters Christina Mertes and Patricia Freel.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at High Jinks Rec Club, Ellsworth.
