Ellsworth County Request for Bids

REQUEST FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that Ellsworth County, Kansas is soliciting bids for construction of Construction & Demolition Landfill Permit No. 114 Cell 14 Excavation. The project consists of excavate a C&D Waste Disposal Cell 14 at the landfill. Ellsworth County shall provide all of the funds required for this project. All Federal, State and County regulations must be complied with. Sealed proposals for the proposed construction will be received by Kirkham, Michael & Associates, Inc. until 1:00 PM local time March 12, 2020 in the conference room at Kirkham, Michael & Associates, Inc. in Ellsworth, Kansas at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders are encouraged to be present at the bid opening, but if the bid must be mailed it should be addressed to the following:

All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified or Cashiers check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Checks or bonds are to be made payable to Ellsworth County and serve as a guarantee of the sincerity and integrity of the bidder, and shall be forfeited to the County if said proposal or bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required statutory and performance bonds as required in the contract documents. 
All mailed bids must be received prior to the stated bid opening time. The envelope should be clearly marked as to its contents. The bid proposal consists of the following: 
    Construction & Demolition Landfill Permit 
    No. 114 Cell 14 Excavation
Work will commence no sooner than the date of the signed Notice to Proceed (earliest start date) and no later than August 31, 2020 (late start date). All work shall be completed within 30 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the County Clerk’s Office in the Ellsworth County Courthouse, and at the Engineer’s Office at the following address:

Digital contract documents are available on QuestCDN for $15.00, Ebid #6822051. Paper copies may be obtained at the above address upon receipt of deposit of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) cash, check or money order for each set, none of which is refundable. Bids will only be accepted from bidders receiving contract documents directly from QuestCDN or Kirkham Michael. Questions regarding bids shall be directed to Kirkham, Michael & Associates, Inc. at the above address a minimum of two (2) calendar days prior to the date of the bid opening.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE 
Ellsworth County reserves the right to waive any and all technicalities and to reject any and all bids.
