Ernest “Ernie” E. Habiger (1968-2022)

Ernest “Ernie” E. Habiger, 54, passed away Sept. 28, 2022, at his home in rural Ellsworth County. He was born Aug. 24, 1968, in Lyons, Kan., to F. Joe and Norma (Vanek) Habiger. Ernie was a longtime shop foreman at Moly Manufacturing, Inc. in Lorraine, Kan.

Ernie is survived by his children, Clay Joseph, Rylee Jane and Easton James; sisters, JoAnn Christianson (Robert) of Allen, Texas, Cyndi Evins of La Grande, Ore., and Dorothy Claussen (Brad) of Manhattan, Kan.; brothers, Bernard Habiger of Wilson and Steve Habiger of Ellsworth; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Dale Evins.

Private family services will take place at a later date.
