City of Kanopolis Revised Water Rates Ordinance

ORDINANCE NO. 2019-O-03

BEING AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REPLACING ORDINANCE 2017-O-02
PROVIDING FOR NEW WATER RATES
IN THE CITY OF KANOPOLIS
ELLSWORTH COUNTY, KANSAS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF KANOPOLIS:
 Section 1. That Ordinance 2017-O-02 and Section 15-120 of the Code of the City of Kanopolis, Kansas be repealed and that the following be adopted in its place, to wit:
        15-120 RATES.
The rates per month for the use of water in the city shall be as follows from August 1st, 2019 until January 31, 2020, shall be:
The first 2,000 gallons (minimum) at $32.00;
All in excess of 2,000 gallons at $5.00 per 1,000 gallons

The rates per month for the use of water in the city shall be as follows from February 1, 2020 until June 30th, 2020, shall be:
The first 2,000 gallons (minimum) at $37.00;
All in excess of 2,000 gallons at $5.00 per 1,000 gallons

The rates per month for the use of water in the city shall be as follows after July 1st, 2020:
The first 2,000 gallons (minimum) at $42.00;
All in excess of 2,000 gallons at $5.00 per 1,000 gallons

Section 2. That ordinance #2017-O-03 and parts of any other ordinances conflicting with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication once in the Ellsworth County Independent Reporter.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body, this 9th day of July, 2019.
