Wayne W. Schultz (1949-2024)

Wayne W. Schultz, 74, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, in Kansas City, Mo. He was born Aug. 11, 1949, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Alfred and Madonna (Lyne) Schultz. Wayne was a lifetime resident of the Ellsworth area where he was a farmer and rancher and previously owned and operated Schultz Hardware and Welding, Lorraine, Kan. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy. Wayne married Diann Lynn Kubick in Ellsworth on April 18, 1981. He was a member of the Ellsworth First Presbyterian Church, Brookville Saddle Club and Odin Saddle Club.

Wayne is survived by his sister Dianne Schultz, Ellsworth; nephew Dale Warren, Ellsworth; niece Pamela Ames, Anacoco, La.; a great-nephew; two great-nieces; one great-great nephew; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Diann; and sisters Darlene Schultz and Lois Warren.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Family will be present to greet visitors from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Ellsworth First Presbyterian Church with burial following at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.
