Janet Bruning (1955-2020)

Janet Bruning, 65, of Cody, Wyo. died Feb. 26, 2020 in Casper, Wyo. Jan was born Jan. 8, 1955 in Ellsworth Kan. to Orval and Hazel Bruning. 

She is survived by brothers Gary and Michael, and sisters Donna (Mike) Flannery, Nancy Bruning and Kathleen (Melvin) Macek. She has three nephews and two nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jan started her nursing career at the Good Samaritan Home in Ellsworth and at the Ellsworth Hospital. She retired as a registered nurse in Cody in 2013.

Her hobbies were family, reading, travel and taking photos.

Memorials may go to the Christ the King Lutheran Church, PO Box 355, Cody, Wyo. 82414; to the Lutheran Hour or the Lutheran Women’s Mission League in care of the church of your choice. Or to the Lutheran Indian Ministries, 3525 N. 124th St., Suite 1., Brookfield, Wis. 53005-2498.

Jan chose cremation with her ashes to be distributed at a later date.
