Harry Dean Black (1947-2023)

Harry Dean Black, 75 years, 11 months and 18 days, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Salina, Kan. He was born July 23, 1947, in Salina to Harry and Lou Mary (Woolsey) Black. Dean was a farmer and rancher, a truck driver and worked for over 30 years for the Ellsworth County Highway Department before retirement.

Dean is survived by his nephews Eric Black (Susan) of Brookville and Neal Black of Beverly; sister-in-law Sheryl Black of Brookville; great-nieces and nephews Karla Cooper, Kaytlen Menke (Gaige), Carl Cooper (Brooke), Harry Black, Brittney Black, Leigha Vines, Dawson Gaskins, Kaile Black, Chase Young and Brayson Young; and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Don H. Black; nephew Jared Black; and great-niece Sydnie Norton.
