Donna Mae Davis, 86, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, in Cheney, Kan. She was born Oct. 22, 1935, in Ransom, Kan., to Hillard Grant and Ruth Mae (Wallace) Allen. Being a resident of Ellsworth for the past 30 years, she also resided in Geneseo, Kan., where she raised her children.

Donna enjoyed many activities, but her favorites were building puzzles and gifting them to her many grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed a competitive game of Yahtzee or cards, but the times that she cherished the most were spent dancing to country music or even better, that of Elvis. Her recent travels to Memphis to visit Graceland and Sun Records along with many other spots with her son Mark were a highlight that allowed her to dance and see the home of Elvis, her music idol. Her love of Law and Order and NCIS was shared with many, but the most enjoyable times were when she was with her family and friends reminiscing about the good ole days.

In 2019, she became a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ellsworth, where she was baptized.

Donna is survived by her sons, Allen Dale Hudson (Teresa) of Abilene, Kan.; Mark Davis of Austin, Texas; and Kevin Davis (Amy) of Lincoln, Neb.; daughter Debra Scheer (Rod) of Cheney, Kan.; brother Mike Allen (Jody) of Tecumseh, Kan.; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Don, Dean, Roger, Duane and Kenneth Allen; and sisters, Ruth Eloise Oriez, Karen Kay Shriner and Janice Perkins.

Visitation is from 1-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at Ellsworth First United Methodist Church, with burial following at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Cheney Golden Age Home or Ellsworth First United Methodist Church, c/o, Parsons Funeral Home, PO Box 45, Ellsworth, Kan., 67439. Condolences may be left at parsonsfh.com.
