Brenda Johnson

(1962-2019)

It was Nov. 7, 1962. The front page headlines of the Salina Journal read “Tiny Twins Born at Asbury: Total 3 lbs., 12 oz.” Barbara’s life was short; only a couple of days. Brenda was scheduled for 55 years. She died Wednesday, April 24, in Kerens, Texas.

Parents are Earl and Dixie Jones of Ellsworth, and Frank and Karen Johnson, Tyler, Texas.

Also surviving is a niece, Laci Johnson, Ellsworth; a sister, Carey Pennington, Tyler; a brother, Ben Johnson, Rolla, Texas; and aunts and uncles Pat Moyer (Daniel), Ellsworth; Mike Hine (Sue), Salina; and Rodney Hine (Sue), Concordia.

The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Ellsworth Assembly of God Church.

Burial will follow at 2 p.m. for graveside services with Pastor Exie Barber. Brenda and Barbara will be reunited at the Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery beside their sister, Tracie Bolton.
