During a March 17 special meeting, members of the Marquette City Council accepted the resignation of Marquette Police Chief Randolph Lillard. No reason was given for the resignation. Lillard had served in that post for the past 2 1/2 years. Mayor Karena Hunziker said the full-time job will be advertised. Salary will be based on experience and negotiation with the council.
